A plenary consultation was held on 4th of June at the presence of national and regional Presidents of the Blood Donor Associations and Federations, the Directors of the Regional Coordination Structures and representatives of the sector’s scientific societies, the National Blood Center and the Ministry of Health. The data on the collection and use of red blood cells and plasma for the year 2023 were presented and discussed.
During the event, the results of the survey on the selection criteria for donors with Thalassemia Trait were also presented.
